Description of 📏 Enhance Your Accuracy with General Tools 444 Depth Angle

This easy-to-use depth and angle gage allows you to accurately measure and mark the outside, inside and sloped angles of a surface. The hardened steel base is grooved on both sides to deliver accurate angles; Permits easy setting of the protractor angle to 30, 45 and 60 degree on both sides. The rule can also be used as a depth gage for measuring small holes and slots. Spring tension nut eases depth and anglemeasuring by securing rule in milled slot at a 90 degree angle to base. This gage features a 6 inch by 1/4 inch etched stainless steel rule graduated in 32nds and 64ths with a 2-1/2 inch wide hardened steel base.

Not recommended due to alignment issues.

The dipstick does not fit square with black steel head. Still useful for some purposes, but not as a mini square. I don't hate the tool as required for a one star rating but still don't recommend it. A good used Starrett 136 or even 137 is the best alternative.

This gauge isn't square

I bought to use as a quick way to set the length projection on a lathe at work. I could never get the constant length of my parts. I've been in the machining industry for 40 years and this is a fairly common way of specifying length in simple turning operations. I couldn't figure out what my problem was and found that when using 1-2-3 by placing the flat part of the base on the 2" side and moving the scale on the 3" side there was a gap of about 0.05. between scale and block. I put it on the…

Just good, poorly made

I bought this depth gauge to use the depth gauge for drilling, turning wooden hollowware and boxes. Used for a week. The bottom plate looks as if it was cast, there are traces of mold on the sides. The milling of the slot for the ruler is uneven, with protrusions, which is why the ruler does not slide well. When I took it out of the box there was machining oil and metal debris on the gauge and under the bolt which I had to disassemble and degrease, clean and lightly re-grease. The ruler still…
