This scraper has an overall length of 6 inches.

Soft steel, sloppy assembly.

I do not recommend this product to anyone. The metal is so soft it bends on the plastic. The assembly was also very sloppy. Curved wooden blade.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • So-so

Great find: Electrician

Great price for such a good scraper. Fully sharpened unlike some others. Couldn't be happier with it. Unlike many other tool manufacturers, General still makes a quality product.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Great tool: Multitester

Exactly what I was looking for. Great for deburring aluminum and the like and could probably be used on some steels that I haven't tried yet. Ideal for machine shop

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

Withstands daily deburring well.

I use them 20 times a week for deburring aluminum and mild steel. I've owned it for about 4 months and have only noticed slight damage to the edge. I'm not worried though as the blade is hollow ground and easy to resharpen and get back a decent edge. I would probably buy it again if I lost it.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Zero

Questionable first impression

Looked great in the box. The tip fell out when unpacking and the blade is off center or skewed. The blade and handle look nice on their own, but I went back to Revain to find a good deburring knife. I have to admit, I'm not looking for a professional level, I'm looking for something that works. I don't really trust it, and besides, I haven't used it on any material yet, to be honest.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Surprisingly versatile

Good tool. A very hard steel, excellent for deburring metals and jobs like deburring a carpenter's hand plane, and surprisingly I learned woodworking. More recently I've used it for scraping wood before and after finishing rather than restoring old tools. Generally a very handy tool for a machinist, mechanic or carpenter. The wooden handle is pretty good for a tool in this price range, but the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. It was full of abrasive bubbles and very rough. I had to grind

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Negative impression
