Not exactly out of the box

good solid case and accessories. I find it tedious to manipulate four handles to clamp the workpiece, maybe two guide rods with a center screw to control the clamps. Centering tool is not accurate. There is a game of about 1/16. The swivel rods are not aligned parallel. too much fiddling with the setting in general, but overall it's a good idea. can stand the test of time.

Pros

  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Spend your money on a router table that does this.

Spend your money on a router table that makes more precise joints in the same amount of time. It is very difficult to accurately align the workpieces in this fixture and impossible to set up for repetitive, labor intensive cuts. parts. Also, the maximum depth of cut you can make without touching the jig is about 1.5 inches, which isn't mentioned at all in the specs or instructions. Luckily I always check the releases.

Not worth the price!

I thought this product would be great but when I tried it I was very disappointed. On poplar (soft hardwood) they made peaks and grooves; fairly easy cutting but not accurate, there was a slight deviation in self-centering. I've tried ash (hardwood) and it was horrible, the wood would move even when using a square guide unless I clamped a piece of ash onto the square guide and even then there was the same self centering discrepancy. I returned the item after several days of trying to get it cut

Don't waste money.

Was looking for a reasonably priced tool to cut mortise and mortises in small batches and it looked promising. The instructions say this works for stock up to 2.5 inches. It is necessary to cut grooves in the 2.5" x 2.5" legs (the most headroom this unit will allow), but the struts holding the stock are positioned so they don't stand straight . mounts securely in fixtures, creates such a cutting clearance that it is necessary to find/use a special non-standard router bit Finally had to cut the…

This is the best mechanical and hand operated toy

I received one of these devices where one of the positioning arms was so badly placed that it could not be rotated into the measuring position. Revain quickly replaced it, but the replacement had one positioning arm that was 1.0mm out of line with the other. Not as bad as the first, but mostly roughly built. Also, it is almost impossible to align the tool to machine a workpiece that is not an exact multiple of 1/4", such as 3/4", 4/4. ", 5/4" to 6/4", you may not center the stem in the mount…

Extremely poor quality, total disappointment

After watching a few videos and forum comments I gave this lure a try. But to be honest it was the biggest disappointment I have experienced in years. I could build a device ten times more accurate for a fraction of the cost. 1) A crude quarter inch thickness gauge is utterly useless as none of the commercially available timber has an EXACT quarter, for example 4/4 timber is usually 15/16 inch not 1.0 inch. Consequently, all spikes and grooves are off-center! 2) Clamp screws are a bad joke at…

Good quality but poor performance

The purpose of a woodworking jig is to allow the user to make repetitive cuts. The bottom line is that every cut is the same. Not nearly the same, but exactly the same. A fixture that allows the wood to be moved or that depends in any way on how well the cut is visible is not a good fixture because the cuts will not be equal. I struggled with this jig for hours and was unable to make accurate cuts with it due to two major design flaws: 1) inadequate wood clamping - the wood will move unless the
