Another thing is that he didn't even turn on. It has a very light and cheap feel compared to all the other gauges I've had. I skipped a replacement and just requested a full refund. LIKE: I like the value, the layout of the options and the overall thought behind the tool. Very nice and I will buy again. DON'T LIKE: The protective cap on sharp pins is awful. This actually causes a puncture, which he tries to prevent due to the difficulty of removing it. Try removing the cover in the basement. I also don't like the complex backlighting of the screen. I use a flashlight to read the screen.

So I didn't have time to take a picture to show the homeowner the wetter layer of wood underground. I bought a second one, I thought the first one was just unlucky. The same thing happened! I purchased this unit to test the moisture content of finished hardwood floors in my home and subfloor. The pre-treated soil was well dried - it should have a moisture content of around 6%, maybe less. But this gauge hits the lower limit of 5% and will not give a reading or will fluctuate within that value, especially with hardwood.
