Filter slips on oil filter wrenches

Wrench larger than filter, will not remove oil filter. Use pliers to remove the old filter and then tighten the new filter, it should be 62-63mm, it says 64-65mm instead.

Pros
  • Oil system tools
Cons
  • Faulty

High Quality Special Tool

This is a high quality special tool that is great for removing and installing the oil filter. A regular oil filter wrench can be difficult to use. Not 5 stars because a bit expensive for what it is.

Fits Onan Oil Filter but is tight

It did its job. Make sure it is fully on as it will be stuck if you use it to remove the oil filter as it will be stuck. Yes, and yes, it takes a long time to remove it from the oil filter. Remember to hand tighten the oil filter only and do not use tools to tighten a new oil filter.

Wrench size fits oil system tools

Oil filter wrench cap fits my 5000 series Onan Gold alternator filter. I was in good shape. I encountered two small problems. None of my ratchets will fit in a turnkey hole. The 3/8 ratchet looked like it might work, but I was afraid to clean the hole. So I used a metric key on the outside. The cover removed the filter, but it stuck to the filter. A light tap released the button from the filter.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Not as thick as other tools
