Simple, effective product for computers and accessories

I used this on a Latitude E5430. Actually I would give 4.5 stars. It feels a little flimsy, but once it's installed in a laptop where it's protected, everything is fine. The reason for the -.5 stars is that it doesn't fit the laptop as is. The front panel is completely different and there is no mounting bracket. However if you have an old OEM DVD player you can use the bracket from that (it just unscrews) and you can remove the bezel from the DVD tray and swap - they use the same mounting holes

Does the job well

Sturdy design fits right in the slot. The only downside is that it's a bit shorter than the CD drive, so it sits a bit inside the laptop.
