Don't make it too complicated!

Installation was very intuitive and took about an hour including adding a new outlet to plug in the device. I say don't make it too hard for a reason, really. I've seen many photos of the controller stuck in the ceiling with the opener motor and all sorts of other places (out of reach) that made me want "WHAT?" in addition to existing controllers. Difficult to install but works great

Works great but was difficult to install - I'm usually pretty good at installing things from Ring cameras and doorbells to Nest thermostats but this one got me causes more problems than most. The instructions are a little confusing, but the real problem is that the whole system isn't that well designed. I think the problem is that this is designed to work with almost any opener. Very unreliable and disappointing. Poor integration with smart home.

I've had it for over a year and I really regret the purchase. My garage is less than 30 feet and 2 walls from my wireless router and this thing keeps losing connection. It was a hassle to set up and I could barely find my router in my house when I installed it. In everyday life, I never know whether I can rely on the device actually being connected and working.
