Essential if your garage door is 2.4m tall compared to a standard 7ft door. He replaced one of the strips with a longer one. It comes with a belt and components for installation. It's perfect for Genie sets. Arrived quickly (thanks Prime) and installed quickly.

Good WLAN with battery backup. The track consists of several short sections that are slightly thinner than the original section that I am replacing. The big complaint is that the opener doesn't have a motion sensor to turn on the light. No reason why this shouldn't be a standard feature

My installer was trying to use a 7ft garage door package but due to our garage design (a 1988 house with a huge wooden beam running through the middle of the garage) he suggested his company's device ($700 each + taxes), or he offered to buy them for me (about $40 per door). I'm so glad he was honest with me and offered it to me. I love my Genie garage door opener!

Excellent but difficult to install. installed son-in-law. An expansion kit is usually required. This did not increase the cost significantly, but introduced a delay and wasted time in setting up, removing, and resetting the extension. annoys. Works exceptionally well. super quiet. Please tell buyers to get the expansion kit.

The Genie Opener comes boxed with rail and strap for a 7ft door. For some reason Lowes didn't have that 8ft door extension kit - the partner was really confused - but of course Revain does. This kit includes a longer strap, extended handrail section and extended cable to manually open the door. (The cable is too long, but it can be cut off.)

I installed this door opener myself and was amazed at how easy it is and the instructions are clear. Works quietly and smoothly. The only problem I had was that I couldn't get it to work with the existing wiring to the garage door sensors. So I had to install new cables and sensors instead of using the old ones. We have an 8 inch door so I bought and installed this expansion kit as well.

I had a Genie overhead door opener on my 2m garage door and had to remove it for repairs. I have a freestanding shop with eight foot doors and thought I could use the old one there. All I needed was THIS extension to make it work. All parts came with instructions on changing from a 7ft opener to an 8ft opener. Easy as pie, nothing needed to be changed other than adding this extension. And all the pieces fit together without the need for filing or cutting.

The product works. It is great. but I wonder why you need it at all. If you read reviews. You will see MANY people ordering a garage door opener and not being able to install it because they need an extension. This is clearly a marketing attempt to lower the explorer's initial cost. However, almost all garages will need it (unless you live in a much older home). This situation causes a lot of frustration and anger. in terms of waste. I'm not sure which is worse.
