🔧 Allison 1000 Deep Pan Kit with Filter Lock (2001-Present) - Genuine Allison Deep Pan (29536522), Internal Deep Filter (29542824), and External Spin On Filter (29539579) Review

I had a gear seat to install this kit. They said everything in the kit is great for my 2006 lbz. But the filter that should go with it was missing. The store had to borrow one from a local parts store to have it hit the road immediately. Almost $50 worth at o'Reillys. The guy should get a refund for that.

Kit installed flawlessly, increased my total capacity by 3 liters, drove my truck 800 miles the day after install, drove back a week later, never leaked, never got hot on rocky slopes I should have bought it sooner, cheaper than PSA and others and it came with a filter, a good buy.

So far so good. I drove about 2000 km with this kit, I don't see any stains. This set is cheaper than just aftermarket pans. This sump is used on the Allisons used in the Top Kick Trucks so is a perfect match for those used in the GM HD. You can't go wrong with more liquid, the temperature seems a little lower.

Bought to replace a factory frying pan with a shallower depth - I think this frying pan should have been standard. Some people reviewed it and liked the fact that it adds 3 extra liters of e-liquid, allowing for extra cooling of the e-liquid. This tray also hangs slightly lower, allowing for extra airflow closer to the cooling tray.

Goes well with my 2005 Silverado 2500hd with Allison 1000 transmission Can't say the deeper pan helps me with heat transfer. It takes a little longer to warm up to the normal operating temperature of 190 degrees, but it still reaches 190 degrees. That's exactly what I expected. It won't make your transmission run cooler like they say. Understanding the physics explains why. I wish I could save money and use it on my larger oil cooler.

It had both rotary and internal filters, but what was even better was that the kit included a deep Allison steel pan and an extended filter with a filter lock to prevent the filter from loosening and sucking in air while still doing it 3 additional liters provided liquid. Capacity. Great price and super easy to install. You only need to buy 3 gallons of liquid, the pan seal is reusable.
