🚗 Honda 17220-R5A-A00 Genuine Air Cleaner Element Assembly Review

Bought a long time ago, installed recently. I just can't believe how the retailer justifies charging you money to change this when it took me no effort or time to do it.

Product arrived as expected, installation was quick with no delay. Only 3 clips hold the lid in place and the lid can be moved without removing anything else. Good quality product.

The last time I changed the oil they said I needed a new air filter. It probably was because it hasn't been changed in a long time. Well, I immediately noticed more intake noise. I wasn't in the same area where they installed the filter so I ordered this OEM filter and it's much quieter now.

OEM part and good price. My car was serviced mostly at home and the rest at the dealer and at 41k I thought it was time to replace the original filter on my 2012 CRV. See photos. This isn't a dusty area, so in places where there's more dust and dirt, you'll have heavier dirt than the 41,000 in this image.

this plus a youtube video and my filter was ready in about 5 minutes. The dealer wanted $89 total to replace this plus the cabin filter. Both are very easy to change once you know where the clamps are. (Search for your model on YouTube). Under $40 for both parts and I'm done. This is a genuine Honda part and the seller was quick to respond to this question before I placed my order. I will do it again next time.
