Easy replacement for Honda Accord 2003 EX Coupe 2003

One of the bolts holding it to the floor broke and he had to climb into the trunk and use the emergency release. This is actually better made than the original as someone found out the screws are too small and could break. They are larger in the new model. The trunk opens again with the remote control and the lever.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Minor issues

The part arrived on time and was fairly easy to fix

I bought this part because the latch that came with the machine was broken. Item arrived on time and was easily repaired. The only problem is that it doesn't work as smoothly as the original part. There is a delay of a few seconds between pressing the button and actually opening the trunk (before there was no such problem). However, it's a good buy as it's cheaper than buying from a dealer.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Crumpled

Snap-in plastic connectors are sensitive! Be careful!

Worked as expected although due to damage to the boot lid I had to salvage a spring from the previous mechanism to add to the new one for it to work properly. If your trunk lid is intact, I'm sure it's working properly. My trunk lid was damaged twice so I had to replace the latch twice. The first install was confusing so I used YouTube. The second setup was like riding a bike.

Pros
  • Switches and relays
Cons
  • Slightly dented

It's a bolt! fits switch

Purchased to replace a broken trunk latch on a 2005 Accord. The trunk light didn't work, it turned out that something in the latch wasn't working properly anymore. After Googling how to replace it and watching a few YouTube videos to make sure I hadn't screwed anything up, I proceeded to replace the latch. Now my trunk works. However, I noticed that the trunk key no longer opens the trunk, which I believe was due to a piece of plastic that had become brittle and broken. but that's a whole…

Pros
  • Trunk lock cylinder
Cons
  • Only available in black
