Suitable for small holes

Certainly not suitable for large holes, but works well for small holes that will not seal or the sealant is dry. You really have to put rubber glue on them first before inserting them, although otherwise they won't vulcanize with the tire's rubber and end up popping out, as a friend and I discovered on our tires a few weeks later on the same ride with those plugs punctured. .

Useless when needed

I had these bacon sides in my repair kit for about a year and then finally needed them. They all turned into a mass of sticky slime, useless unless I really needed them to get out of the forest. Luckily I have 2 strips left that came with the tool which still looks and works like new. I live in the Northwest so it's not that hot to melt stuff like that, plus I keep my repair kit in the garage when I'm not driving.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Reliability

Don't waste your money on this junk

I have to call back for a refund. Complete garbage. I don't know who in their right mind would expect a tiny patch 2 to fix the apartment. I ended up having to grab four of these at once to push through because every time I pulled the tool back it held the connector in place. Full of junk, junk, junk, junk. Don't waste your time. I don't know who thought making a tiny patch plug for your midrange driver would be a good idea. No apology

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Won't leave without her. Period.

I didn't want to review something I thought was stupid until I realized how desirable these little things are. You have saved my skin many times. And they deserve praise. I have two of these in my MAXXIS rear tire right now. They have been airborne for more than 3 months. You will most likely die along with the tire. I use low pressure on my "Plus" bike. I rode a chunky descent and took a snake bike. A hole was next to the carbon wheel. The other is upstairs. Two strips of bacon later and someโ€ฆ

Must have for tubeless repair!

If you ride a bike without a tube, be sure to take a set of tire caps with you. These little chunks of bacon will definitely save your bacon. Look at the picture. I recently had a pinch that caused 2 large holes that my gasket just couldn't handle. I plugged both holes with a strip (folded in half) for each hole. Not that any of the holes were almost directly on the bead itself. That was 2 weeks ago and a few trips. Since then my tire has never leaked. These strips are legal! Not only did theyโ€ฆ

  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Saved my bacon! (And my tubeless road tire)

I ride tubeless on the Autobahn - Schwalbe Po One 24mm tires. I recently had a pretty big scratch on my rear wheel. With Stans sealant it will hold about 50 or 60 psi. But a little higher, and the sealant "explodes" and the tire loses pressure. Basically, the hole was too big to fill with tubeless sealant. The plugs on the bacon side solved the problem completely. I rubbed a strip of bacon with a small amount of rubber glue from the hose patch kit, which started the chemical vulcanizationโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Good but not great
