Works great, but be careful when installing!

Works as it should ATTENTION! When installing, make sure that the brake pedal is NOT depressed even slightly, otherwise you risk overheating the brakes and completely locking the car, rendering it inoperable. Insert it until it touches the pedal, then twist to lock.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Fixed start button problem

This solved the problem of our Nissan Armada not starting intermittently. He didn't register that we had a foot on the brake at the start. Make sure both switches are aligned to the same depth. Ours was a little crazy at first and kept hitting the brakes while riding. After leveling everything worked.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some difficulties

GENUINE NISSAN FACTORY PART

The original factory brake switch finally failed after 14 years I think I got lucky as this seems to have been a common problem for Nissan owners of various models after just a few years or so thousands of miles . The faulty component was removed and replaced with an OEM Nissan brake switch, the button worked as usual and all brake lights are fully functional.

Nissan is very confused about this.

My wife's 2010 Nissan Altima won't start. You will find that the start button is intermittent. This is the best quick and easy fix. Disconnect and unscrew the old block. Reverse gear installed and the woman is satisfied. I'm glad the part doesn't cost €80 like it used to. This is a very common problem. Kudos to the Nissan engineers for creating an easily avoidable problem.

Nissan Design = Cheap Junk

So Nissan has a design problem because these switches fail prematurely and if you take them to the dealer they charge you $200-600 to replace them! We just swapped one out at the dealer not 8 months ago and the switch has failed again. I replaced it myself in less than 2 minutes. There should definitely be class action lawsuits against Nissan and its dealers blindly ripping us off. This is clearly a design issue. Nissan, because of this problem, I will never buy any of your cars again. The car…
