    No transmission problem

    My 2000 Nissan Maxima separates from the transmission in hot weather. Found out this part (vehicle speed sensor aka RPM sensor) could be the problem. Easy installation and I haven't had this problem since. That was about 2 years ago now.

    This is the advertised original OEM sensor. .

    This is the original OEM sensor advertised. My 2000 Maxim would sometimes get stuck in first gear. I had to stop, turn off the car, wait a few seconds and start the engine again. The problem was intermittent and I couldn't discern the tongue twisters other than the fact that it was more common in hot weather. Searching the net led me to the fact that this sensor needs to be replaced. Ever since I installed this part it has been working great.

    On hot days, my AT Nissan would "jump" out of gear while driving on paved roads. I had to pull over to the curb or rev the engine to try to shift into gear.
