🕒 Genuine OEM Timing Belt Kit for TL, MDX, RL, ACCORD, ODYSSEY, RIDGELINE, PILOT ZDX - Complete Kit (Photo Included) Review

This was the same as the Aisin kit except for the Honda timing belt and seals. Save money and buy an Aisin set and a Bando serpentine belt for $25.

The kit was as described and everything worked except the serpentine belt. He said it was too short and bought it at a local store.

This kit contains all the parts and is perfect for our 2009 Acura MDX. FYI - the install wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Lots of work and lots of engine disassembly. But it's not that hard. Except for removing the crankshaft bolt. It's an adventure in the muscles.

The worst part about replacing these parts on the pilot is bleeding the hydraulic tensioner. Also, the timing belt must have ZERO slack before the pin on the tensioner is pulled. I learned it the hard way and had to push the tensioner piston back in and put the release pin back in place. A breaker (and a pipe extension) was required to bleed the V-ribbed belt tensioner. As a weekend mechanic, it took me longer than a pro, but I saved $$

I was a bit disappointed that the parts don't come in Honda packages as OEM parts usually come. Actually I don't know, they are indeed genuine parts from the same supplier and I won't waste time looking for them. Installed on a 2007 MDX last weekend. All components are perfect for 2005 Honda Odyssey. Contrary to other reports, the Bondo drive belt is too short. That's what I thought at first, but check the belt fit three times and you'll find that it's not properly seated in one of the pulley grooves. These appear to be Honda OEM parts. This weekend we completed the work in about 5 hours. Others have said the drive belt is too small, I had no problems. I had to purchase a $26 19mm Lyle Harmonic Balancer head and a $350 Milwaukee High Torque 1/2" shock kit (Links below) to fix the crank bolt remove and complete.
