🔧 Volkswagen 06H 103 495 E Engine Crankcase Vent Valve: Efficient Ventilation Solution Review

I bought a part for my 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0tsi that was misfiring especially on cold starts. I ordered this because PCV is not a part to skimp on. To my chagrin, the part that arrived was not an original Volkswagen part but had a VAICO stamp on it. I installed it anyway and the problem remained. So I went to the dealer and bought a genuine part and the misfires are gone. So instead of a "genuine Volkswagen PCV" I think I got a defective, non-genuine part. And I'm not happy.

The part came in a light cardboard box, in an unsealed plastic sleeve, it wasn't my usual type of long term parts storage and delivery that I'm used to so I was surprised. I got a couple of trouble codes when my wife's 2012 Tiguan car light came on. Popup code p2187 and p0299. With 86,000 miles and a general problem with these engines I thought I might replace it and a few other things it was designed for.
