My kids aged 9 and 11 love this game. BUT, don't get the travel version, especially the plastic version. The pieces aren't magnetic, and the pieces on the plastic version don't even fit together properly. They beat her down all the time. We returned it. We also received the plastic version, although the photo showed the wooden travel version.

I originally bought this game from the Marbles store (when they were still in business). From a gaming point of view, this is a fun and challenging game for kids of all ages. The version they sent me was over HALF the size of the original game, made of cheap plastic (not wood as pictured), and more expensive. I would NOT buy this game from this seller. I find their descriptions and pictures inaccurate and misleading.

I bought this board because it looked so weird. I figured there really isn't much difference between a regular board and a travel set so I bought this one. The game is fun, but I feel like the novelty wears off pretty quickly. It's not difficult and the games are short. I think this game is very suitable for entertaining guests in a hurry. I've played with a few people but they just seem to want to play a game or something. It's not very deep. I would recommend buying this game if you are short
