I like the look of this light but I wish I had noticed that it uses those special bulbs. Insertion and removal is a pain. Even the electrician who installed the light for me said he hated these lights because they were impractical. Well, it was already on the ceiling before I realized a regular lightbulb wouldn't work, so I'll look into that. Remember - these bulbs are very difficult to put in place and expensive to replace. Just know what you're getting.

I loved this light until I had to change bulbs. I can't get them out! There is no place to wrap your fingers around the bulb to pull it out. There appears to be a small suction cup to pull out the bulb, but the person who installed it years ago didn't keep it. I tried using a different suction cup but the glass fell off. Four stars because of the price. There are many much more expensive devices that I believe have the same issue, which is why I rate them higher. Lightbulbs, as everyone mentions, ABSOLUTELY SUCK. For this reason I decided to buy (2) sets of Philips 465054 GU10 LED bulbs, dimmable, 35 degree spot: 400 lumens, 3000 Kelvin, 6 W (equivalent to 50 W). They come in a set of three. We bought two Globe Electric lamps for repairs but didn't open the boxes until today when we were ready to install them. The disappointment isn't strong enough to describe what we felt when we discovered that both had bent bases. One was really bad. The boxes look good enough that they must have come from the factory. And of course, we've already passed Revane's return date. This is one of the dangers of online shopping that can really bite you. I noticed another customer had the same comments.

Great light at an unbeatable price. I have a plastic ceiling box as it replaced a horrible shop light I had in my closet that plugged directly into an electrical cord and when it is tight there is no movement and the light is flush with either side the ceiling. The lamp looks nice and gives good light - if it weren't for the lamp fiasco it would have given 5 stars. The lamps are very, very difficult to install. You need to plant 2 pins - dad - and your fingers don't have room to hold the bulb - so they give you a suction cup - it only helps to plant the bulb, but planting the bulb is only half the battle (and it is a struggle since you can't see the pins you want to connect to the device). 1/4 turn - the suction cup is 100% useless for this.
