Featured! As expected from gofanco products!

I recommend using category 6 cable, not category 5e. Image and quality as expected from gofanco. I use either gofanco or jtech for my extensions. Recommend!

no picture degradation

I needed something to get audio from my AppleTV and route it to an AV matrix switcher. All other devices degraded the video signal so much that it couldn't happen. This block works like a charm. We can send video to the matrix and analog audio to amplifiers.

Worked as built but did not work with the HDMI ARC connector

I couldn't find any information on whether this unit would work with the HDMI ARC connector so I ordered it. Unfortunately, while it works when you put it between the player/cable and the TV, it doesn't work when powered only through the HDMI ARC connector. I even got dummy HDMI dongles but they didn't activate the device either. This is a good device if you only have one source you want to intercept, but I don't see how you can do this with multiple players and set top boxes. YMMV and thanks…

Category 6 cable is recommended, not Category 5e cable. Image and quality as expected from gofanco. I use either gofanco or jtech for my extensions. Recommend!

I have two video sources that have issues that I thought could be fixed with an audio extractor like this. Basically, this device has an HDMI input for your source and then an HDMI output for your display. This device acts as a pass-through. However, it also has additional ports that allow you to connect speakers, headphones, etc. so you can receive the sound from your source as you would from a display device such as a TV or projector. and with an additional speaker.
