I had problems with the cable and adapter, intermittent connection between my monitor and MS Surface 4. Without knowing what the problem was, I found this cable that combined two functions - scrore! It arrived on time and worked great! I couldn't be happier, apart from a noticeable improvement in video quality. Excellent purchase. So happy!

It's not an official Apple color and the Thunderbolt end sits a little tight on my back, but for the price it's ok. The length is perfect for a typical setup where your secondary monitor is next to your laptop. I was nervous about ordering an unbranded product, but considering it won't move much, the requirements are pretty low. I would recommend it in place of most "official" Apple connectors that serve the same function.

HDCP inconsistency meant that when I tried to watch in HD on the second stream from a computer with Full HD 1080p support, I couldn't see in high quality on the second screen . I had to watch it in normal quality because this cable doesn't meet copyright protection standards. In general I was not able to use the full performance of my computer graphics as this cable is not HDCP compliant to display content on a second screen running on another main computer.

Bought two of these for surface pro 4 dock to work with dual monitors. Works perfectly. A few tips: You'll need to update your dock's firmware before these ports will work.
