Golden Care GT105 Teak Shield Review

After following the instructions on the DIY website that recommends using teak oil and not being unhappy with the color or smell, we went to look again and found a teak sign. Our dining table is beautiful now! Drops of water rise up, but the grain of the wood looks completely natural - there is no indication that it is clogged with varnish. We will continue to use Golden Care products.

the defender i hated. I painted all my teak a very unnatural orange color. I removed the protective film again with the cleaner and applied the Golden Care Clear Shield (sold separately) and managed to preserve the natural color much better. A few months later it is still good and keeping its color. Looks like I'll probably need to clean and seal once a year. I live in the tropics where it's always warm, so our teak patio furniture is in constant use.

Golden Care Teak Shield and related Teak Protector products are top quality products. Used their products which are a bit expensive but have been fully restored to like new condition (they are 10 years old) with expensive teak tables and chairs. Will definitely continue to use! Be sure to apply in a controlled area and not to overlap - apply slowly and carefully and comb through fully to avoid areas that are darker or lighter and repel water differently!
