works like a geared shear

i previously bought a fisker geared hand pruner and fell apart trying to cut a half inch shrub. i returned it and got this metal geared hand pruner. works like a charm. the metal gears cuts easily without ratcheting action. i hope this pruner will last me a lifetime. by the way now all my garden tools have metal gears. the hand pruner, the shears and the lopper.

Overall satisfied - they became my regular use clippers

I do like these, but two issues: can be a nuisance to lock sometimes, and there's a wobble with the handles. The wobble makes them feel a bit inferior in quality but actually there's no negative side effect I can identify. Overall they are decent, worth the money - cut well, happy for using around the yard and garden beds.

Excellent customer service from Gonicc.

Less than 30 days after I bought these the spring came off and I couldn't find it. I contacted Gonicc for a replacement spring. Just the spring. A few e-mails back and forth with their customer service and in 4 days I received a whole new pair of pruners, not just the spring. I am very impressed with whoever is running the show there because they really came through, over and above. And the pruners are excellent, too!

broke after only a few uses

These broke after a half-dozen uses. The handle just snapped. Of all the pairs I've recently owned, these are the worst.

Not Sharp! good for me

I had moderately high expectations when I purchased these pruning shears. Alas. They became dull within one use of deadheading my rose bushes. I am returning these pruning shears and I will purchase a pair with a bottom blade. The bottom piece of plastic on these shears renders the cutting process useless. A few cuts in, became more tearing the stems rather than having a fresh, clean cut.

Not impressed in my review

Very disappointed in these. I gave them two stars because they are a good looking pair of shears, but they smash stems and branches instead of cutting through them cleanly

Anvil - that's the key

Pruning shears should not have two scissors blades for that type jams. This type, single blade + an anvil works much better and is easily sharpened. This model is well made and easy to use, though the locking mechanism was stiff when first purchased and before breakin.
