Sorry but I never used it or returned it because it had a terrible chemical/metal smell. I would never risk boiling water in it for human consumption.

This is a very good kettle that can be used to make coffee and tea. I don't heat the water in it, I just pour in hot water from the kettle and use it to spill.

Wow! I tried removing the lid after heating some water to add more. And I almost burned my fingers. The handle on the lid is not insulated. Besides that. The water heats up and pours as it should, but it bubbles and splashes on the stove

The kettle has a cheap plastic handle that goes way down - so much so that it gets too close to the heating element (induction hob) - ours started to melt! Can work differently on gas or electric stove. To update; the return took a while, they wanted a photo but in the end they extended the return.

Bought because I couldn't bring myself to spend over $80 on Fellow Stagg. The materials feel premium, the lid fits well, the thermometer is accurate. I also really like the volume of 750 ml. I agree the handle could be shorter, but on a gas stove you can melt the handle simply by turning off the flame (as I would with any kettle).

This kettle is beautiful with its matte black color and wooden handle, but when you start boiling water it starts spouting hot water out of the spout after about 4 minutes. You really have to watch out for that as there is no whistle and if you wait for it to boil fully hot water will spurt out of the sink everywhere. It really doesn't make sense as it was overlooked during development.
