Why do they even exist?

As far as I can tell they were made by someone who has seen a tire changer but not a bike and has no idea what they are used for. Here we have parts made of durable, indestructible plastic that cannot be used. The arm end is set at ninety degrees and is so narrow it doesn't fit under the tire rim. When I was a bike courier, I spontaneously repaired many apartments. I know how to do it and almost branded myself trying to get these things to work. Give them to someone you hate and guarantee them…

Terrible design good for cycling

I work on bikes all the time. I had to change 4 tires on 2 bikes so I bought these after seeing all the good reviews. There was an error. 1. The lip at the top is too short so I hurt my ankles a couple of times when it slipped off the pole. It was very painful.2. They don't fit well at all. You have to find the perfect position to bring the two together. You can't do 4 because the parts are made to the same specs, so it's a little annoying.3. The material is really cheap plastic. It feels like…

Job done for the bike

These sturdy levers with a slight hook end are well built to get the job done. These levers allowed me to mount two notoriously difficult tires (Continental Contact Plus 700x32). However, not without great difficulties. I seriously had to put the last of my strength into it and it's also a wonder I didn't pinch the pipe considering how aggressively I had to be with the steering wheel. There's no way I can fix a roadside pipe with this device, and I dread the day I next have to remove and…

Will not break, pinch or rip off tight tires

Some rim and bicycle tire combinations come apart easily. You deflate the tube if it's not already deflated, push on the stem (unscrew the knurled knurling on the Presta valves) to relieve any pressure from the armored chamber around the stem, push on the tire next to the rim on one side around the entire circumference. To move the bead from the ledge to the center of the rim, which is slightly lower, then use the space created to slide the bead over the rim near the valve stem (because the…
