FITMENT--Compatible with BMW 1 Series (2012-2016), 2 Series (2014-2016), 3 Series (2012-2016), 4 Series (2014-2016), X1 (2011-2015), X3 (2011-2017), X4 (2014-2017), Z4 (2011-2017). FUNCTION--Used for aligning the balancer shaft into the correct timed position, fixing the chain sprocket, for removing and installing the oil pump, chain, and sprocket repair. REPLACEMENT--Similar to factory tool #83 30 2 318 117, 83 30 2 212 825; compatible with BMW N20 N26 1.6L/2.0L petrol engines. BENEFIT--7676 Oil Seal Repair Kit helps to release and tighten the central bolts on the damper hub when you replace the timing chain. PACKAGE--1x 7676 seal repair kit, includes 2 screws - PH3 M6 x 1.0 & Hex drive size 10 (length: 26mm).

Works as advertised but beware of the balance shaft pin

The kit comes with no instructions but once you delve this deep into the engine it's pretty obvious. The biggest issue we had was the small OT pin that attached to the curved bracket. It's a pen, and the "head screw" part actually screws into the pen. It's not obvious. The engine was upside down because it was mounted on an engine stand. As I inserted the pin and started rocking the crankshaft back and forth a little to make sure it was seated in the groove, the pin fell into the engine. I had…
