We have always used stone on the cut edges of the tiles to smooth them out but I won't go back after that. These 60 grit diamond backing pads are amazing.

Accidentally discovered this liner while researching a bathroom tile project. This pad smoothed the edges between my bathroom tiles on the outer rim of the tub. There was no need to add the bullnose tile. I would use this pad again if I wear the first one.

I was pouring concrete on my countertop and wanted to avoid a ton of dust (e.g. use a mechanical grinder with diamond pads). This hand pad removes the concrete really fast and still holds up really well. It clogs (like any sanding pad) so you need to vacuum up the mess and keep the pad clean to keep it working well. My guess is that the foam pad wore out long before the diamond plate did.

I wish I had known about this product sooner. For a few bucks I have something that will smooth the cut edge of the tile so it looks like a factory finished edge. Just about 10-15 seconds of use and you will get more professional work. I was unnecessarily concerned that it would strip the paint off the tile, but the opposite is true... it actually smooths out the edges and leaves the paint behind.
