Description of 13-Inch Enamel on Steel Covered Oval Roaster by Granite Ware - 7 lb. Capacity

Hold up to 5 lbs. poultry with the lid on and 7 lbs. without lid. Porcelain enamel surface is an inert, non-porous and naturally non-stick surface. No PFOA, PTFE or other harmful chemicals & is Dishwasher safe. Safer than foil roasters, browns better and cooks more evenly. The dark porcelain surface absorbs the ovens energy and evenly distributes it so the contents are evenly. Granite Ware Roaster is Made in Mexico.

I love it. nearly. good for pots and pans

This little roaster is perfect for my needs. It's strong and well made. My only complaint relates to the handles: the design is fine, but the downside is that the edges you place your hands on to hold the grill are pretty rough. The manufacturer had to create a smooth shaft; these edges appear almost unfinished.

Uses HIC 10 x 6 Rack

UPDATE: This fryer is SMALL so you need to know before you buy it. It's for chicken, meatloaf, NOT turkey. x 6". There are reviewers on here that give this one star two stars because their turkey doesn't fit. LOL CAN'T. The bottom is the same width as a dollar bill (6"). The pan is only 10" long on the long side. It's smaller than a shoebox. Please don't give it a star anymore because you can't put a turkey in it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Received today with no scratches, nicks or dents.

It's not much, but it's not bad

The problem with this product is that we all have a photo of the old 30 pound granite braziers that our moms used. We read the dimensions, but it is not registered. I have a 5 pound turkey breast. It's wearable. If you are one person (or two) looking for a great roaster for hens, hens or a small turkey breast, this is perfect. He is not big.

Heartbreak and second chances

When we moved in a few years ago we were cleaned like we were preparing for ascension. My old roster fell victim to these efforts. We've had many roast nights without our trusty roaster and it never turned out the way we like it. Did we cry at those dinners? May be. Like a repentant ex, we realized our mistake and started looking for a replacement. Cast iron enamel pans are too heavy and if the enamel coating cracks, these pans can rust. The non-stick coating makes me nervous about the chemical

Ideal size for baking challah/egg bread

Was looking for a fermenting and baking vessel for braided egg bread (holy, challah, stolen etc.). This oval grill is the perfect size for 2 1/2 cups of flour (half or regular) and 2 layers of wattle (I fill each strand of dough with rum-dipped raisins and orange zest). I have nothing to fear. No more unstable bread or loose bread ends. The lid on this grill fits snugly and produces steam for the first 20 minutes. Baking (no more dough tents). The only problem with this broiler was that the…
