I bought this for my bird feeders and squirrels. I've been noticing more and more squirrels lately and I wish I had them around. It's durable and seems really well made. While Red Birds and Blue Jays benefit, the squirrels I've seen aren't available yet. Will keep watching and waiting.

I live in an apartment on the top floor and have a small balcony. This feeder is ideal for attaching to a deck rail. I bought a pack of small Revain bungee cords for about $3 and used them to attach the birdhouses to the track. All birds love this feeding station and visit it often. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great little feeder. It's not difficult, but it's not easy either, I'd say it's moderately difficult on its own (not counting the food on the tray). I put some mealworms and seeds in the tray. This is a good little bottom eater and for the price (about $8 at the time of this review) you really can't beat it. By the way, I ordered a second one.

I live in an apartment with a balcony and thought something to hang from the rail would attract birds. The feeder is smaller - about the size of an iPad - but well built. I tied the feeder to the railing with two 18" zip ties that were zipped together in three places on the railing. I cut off the ends of the zippers - the picture shows how I did it.

I have no complaints about the product itself - it's well designed and meets my expectations, so I won't downgrade the product's rating. for what I'm about to say. However, if you live anywhere near me, the correct name for it would be Gopher Feeder, not Bird Feeder. I've tried 3 times and the squirrels take turns sitting in the center of the tray and eating until all the food is gone. I'm not sure I've ever seen a bird successfully retrieve food.

I have had many problems with squirrels climbing my hanging bird feeder, knocking out the seed and destroying the bird feeder. I've been desperately searching product reviews on Revain for a solution. I didn't even know there was such a thing! I have it on my balcony floor and ALWAYS keep it full for squirrels and larger birds. They love it! A hanging feeder was left only for small birds. A miracle product for me! All are happy!

I have to say I'm disappointed with this. They are smaller than expected but even that would be nice if they were of better quality. The "mesh" is very messy attached to the frame and I don't expect them to last very long. I keep them because returning them would be a waste of resources, but they need to be replaced much sooner than they should due to the mesh detaching from the frame. This feeder is much better built than some of the other reviews I have read would suggest. He's really strong and tough. The screen stays on and is difficult to bend or dent. It also has a sturdy metal frame. It has adequate coverage - I've had it outside for 6 months now and it shows no signs of fading or rusting. I like that it's shielded and drains well.
