This feeder is much better built than some of the other reviews I have read would suggest. He's really strong and tough. The screen stays on and is difficult to bend or dent. It also has a sturdy metal frame. It has adequate coverage - I've had it outside for 6 months now and it shows no signs of fading or rusting. I like that it's shielded and drains well. It's the perfect size and holds about a cup of bird seed, which seems to last about a day. I bought it hoping it would fit in the deck feeder. And I was right. I have pigeons and other ground-searching birds that visit me and I don't like the design of most feeders because they aren't designed for these birds. This feeder fits perfectly on my deck railing and I tied it with wire to keep the squirrels from knocking it over and knocking it over. The pigeons love this feeder. I'm very glad I bought this. I would definitely recommend this feeder and will probably buy another one.
