This is a great product! We first used it on July 4th at a local sandbar and my dog was a hit with other boaters. They loved watching my labrador jump off the platform to get his water toy and then swim back to the platform to wait for me to drop it again. He was able to rest on the platform without having to constantly jump back onto the pontoon. I attached it to the rear ladder and have since ordered another ladder for the rest! We fitted this to the rear of our 2017 Bennington 21SX pontoon boat using standard ladder rungs and it fits perfectly. We had to trim the rubber hinges on the ladder to get it to fit snugly, but when that's done it sits perfectly on the ladder and the bracket, adjusted to the width of your rung, fits very well. I read reviews and this item had good reviews but not many people had a cruiser writing many had pontoons. I have two lab mixes at 90 pounds each. At first I had the feeling that everything went very easily. Not bulky at all. Luckily we were about 4ft deep as my husband loves beer.
