Worse than Flip, harder to use, low max volume

Worse than Flip, much harder to use. Yes/No questions and buttons are replaced with just menu list and ok/back. Basic operations require many more keystrokes. Confused by the undocumented status LED. The same insufficient maximum volume, hard for the hearing impaired. A big disappointment but it's hard to find good phones for the elderly.

The easiest mobile phone to use!

I found these phones in my AARP magazines and thought they would be easy and great cell phones for my parents because my mother has dementia. And I will tell you that even my mother can use this phone, and my parents are already over 80, but the mobile phone is so easy to use for the elderly. It also has a service star button to call emergency services if they can't call 911.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Too many cons for me to buy

1 You must enable Lively before you can turn it on. 2. The user manual leaves a lot to be desired.3. According to Great Call Support, there is no way to transfer contacts from my phone4. You need to scroll down to find and select contacts.5. WJ tried his best to help but couldn't. Seller is not at fault, I will not use Great Call products. I will do business with Best Buy and recommend them. Due to many cons, I returned the Jitterbug to the seller.

Another junk from Great Call

My husband has hand tremors and severe hearing loss so smartphones are not for him. Our last Jitterbug clamshell was a total failure, so we didn't want to try the new Lively. But a Great Call rep told us it was a "folding phone on steroids," and we were desperate for a phone for my husband to use. Well, Lively has been working great for almost a month. Then it didn't happen. Spent most of yesterday on a (different) phone with Great Call, reprogrammed Lively several times and then gave up…

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Some doubts
