Replaced the power steering hose on a Jeep with a wrench. This wrench was both sizes I needed to fit both ends of the hose. The wrench fitted perfectly and was strong enough to loosen very tight fittings. Definitely money well spent!

This might be fine for fittings that aren't very tight or rusty, but it was too weak for me. I tried using this to disconnect the power steering cables from the S10 steering box but the end just pulled apart and started rounding around the fitting when I applied some torque to it. In the end it turned out to be completely useless for what I needed it for.

So many metric kits come in 15mm and 17mm sizes but not 16mm or 18mm which is what you need to fit P/S hoses on many vehicles (mine is a pickup) GMC to replace HD). with a hydroboost module (you can find them on 6.0 liter petrol trucks as well as Duramax diesel engines). For this you need 16mm at the hydroboost end and 18mm at the P/S pump end. The clasps are good and the ends/corners are not frayed (they are not particularly soft) Great quality for the price, I would buy again.

Others complain about the lack of embossed notches in the corners. but it still worked fine without damaging my nuts (and that's the whole idea, isn't it)? This wrench is a joke. I tried using it on a steering box with an 18mm nut. The wrench fits snugly on the nut. However, if you try to unscrew a strong nut, the two sides of the key box will begin to move apart and eventually grow wide enough for the key to jump to the other sides of the nut. In other words, the walls of the boxes on the wrench are too thin to handle serious work. I ended up removing the nut with a wrench, but luckily I was able to use a regular unflared wrench on the remaining…
