I originally posted a 2 star review but this is different. The reason for the five stars is that customer service sent me another color cartridge, I installed it and it now prints in all colors. The first color cartridge they sent me was defective but now it works great. I checked, printed 2 pages and all colors came out. I would buy from them again. The first color cartridge with red imprint. The second seems like a promise.

I was very hesitant to buy a remanufactured cartridge but I have recently become a widower and have very little money so I decided to give it a try. I bought a reconditioned cartridge many years ago and it was awful but I was hoping they would get better over the years. These cartridges are excellent. They were easy to install even though I had never installed them before; my husband always did that. The print is crisp and clear. I highly recommend them.

My Canon printer refused them and I tried all the troubleshooting steps (that came with the box) before setting up a refund. I managed to get the black ink to work for a moment, but every time I turned on the device I got a new error message. Since they came as a set, I had to return them both. The packaging was ok (well insulated and sealed) and each had a protective cap. I thought the quality of the product was good in terms of construction, but my machine just wasn't working.

When I first printed out some photos and documents for my kids project they came out transparent and in very poor quality, so bad that I wrote a bad review at first. I just print regular documents and they come out perfect. Then I tried to take the picture again and it turned out better than the first few. There's a big difference after you've printed a few. So remember, if you buy one, try to print it a few times and it might become clearer after a few tries. So I'm changing my rating. All in…

When I put the black cartridge in it worked for a while and then stopped printing. The error message was that the cartridge is not compatible. I replaced the Canon ink cartridge and the printer is working again. Maybe Canon have a way of detecting if you're using more than one of their cartridges so it won't be accepted, but it was a waste of money anyway so keep it the same brand as the printer. I've used this remanufactured ink before and it worked fine but this time I got burned. The black cartridge worked well but not for long as it was half empty. And the color cartridge did not work at all. I only opened it recently as I usually buy ink in advance so I don't have downtime when re-ordering.
