Can eat through nails, dislikes branches in a tree.

Should be good for nails, but not so good for wooden poles. I drill 10" to 12" diameter 3/4 holes through machined wood studs. This bit has many problems with screw tip clogging and will not pull the bit through wood. I tested this by hammering this racquet a few times, then putting on my old racquet and then quickly chewing through the hole and knots. I put it back in the box and stopped using until I hit a nail, then I'll try.

Pros
  • Seven manufacturing sites in the US
Cons
  • Requires socket

I bought this to poke holes in tree stumps and burn them out. It got stuck in a tree stump and I had to use an impact wrench to get it out, even though I drilled it out with a very powerful Milwaukee drill. I thought I was going to break it with a drill so I hit and slowly knocked it out. I don't know what to think of this drill at the moment so I can only give it 3 stars at best as I enjoyed just drilling that one hole.

Pros
  • Tested and tested for durability and performance in real job site conditions
Cons
  • No performance

Nothing seems to bother him.

I also wrote a review on the shorter Greenlee Snail and will only repeat a few parts of it here. This punch is hard. I know it's supposed to go through steel nails, but I pushed it a lot harder and it survived. I used it to drill out a 4X4 wooden post that was filled with concrete. When drilling, I hit the edges and the tip of the drill bit into the concrete several times. The surprise came when I did a little research on this abuse only to find nothing. The beat was sharp like new. No damage…
