Original grill pressure gauge

This pressure gauge is very convenient to use. Just slowly lift the tank (disconnected from the regulator) and reinstall. The gauge has a second pointer that records weight (in fractions of full capacity) so you can look directly at the gauge without having to bend down to see it while holding the tank. Very back-friendly! The sensor arrived on time, in great shape and works like a charm. I'm glad I got it; This makes a propane shortage unlikely, no fun in the middle of your big barbecue.

The gas won't run out until the burgers are done

The grill gauge works as described to measure low pressure grill tanks. They're basically just small analog scales, similar to those used by fishermen or to weigh luggage. I've found that all you have to do is gently lift the tank by the hook a few inches to weigh it. If you pull the bin while lifting it, you will get an incorrect reading. The "Auto Check Indicator" works very well and saves time by making the dial easier to read. I would like this item to come with a digital display instead of

Great appliance for outdoor grilling and cooking

This appliance is amazing. It's very easy to use but reduces the guesswork. I've always lifted my propane tanks myself to see if I need to refill them, but I was pretty assuming, and I'm sure I've swapped out a few tanks that weren't completely empty. With a pressure gauge, I get a much better visual reference of the gas levels in my tanks. I have several units that use propane but they require tanks that are at least 1/3 full or more. I'm sure I've changed these tanks in the past when these…

Great solution to an annoying problem!

Great item! I've always hated the guessing game to play with propane tanks. I've run out of "medium grill" gas more than once, and that's the last thing you want to deal with when you have hungry guests waiting. I was about to buy one of the sensors until I read some reviews and found out how unreliable they are. This sensor is the ideal solution and the simplest. Just plug in the tank, lift it an inch or two, and then read the meter. No battery to worry about. This should take a long time. Use

BBQ Must Have!: Grilling and Grilling Accessories

I bought a sensor from Home Depot that had a full/empty indicator. It connected to the gas nozzle on the propane tank, and then I connected the grill gas hose to this gauge. This gauge did not accurately read the propane level in my tank. It always showed empty when it was half full. I would have thought it was actually empty because it caused my flame to flicker and go out after it was empty. Then I bought this propane weight meter and it is very accurate! Last week I had two tanks that were…

Simple and accurate. A great idea.

That's awesome. It's simple and reliable, but it takes a little muscle to check the tank. You hook it to the top of the tank, loosen the screws that hold the tank in place, and lift it up. It's based on the principle that fuel weighs something, and when it's full it weighs more than when it's empty. In my experience, there is no need to unscrew the hose from the tank. I've tried many others including ones that connect the tank to the grill. The three views I used have either been leaked or are…

Useful for checking "full " tanks

Just got this sensor and am happy with it. As a result, I am not happy with the Blue Rhino. I first tried the sensor on an empty tank and it didn't move from "E". I took it with me when I got the Blue Rhino replacement tank. The first tank they brought was about 5/8 full. I asked her to buy me another one. It showed about 3/4 full. I wasn't sure how accurate the sensor was and I needed propane so I took it. I weighed the tank on an electronic scale when I got home. It was 32.1 pounds. The tare…
