Decent option good for polishing wheels

I have previously purchased a dozen items from this manufacturer and have always been very satisfied with their products. I would say I am very happy with this purchase as the pads were easy to use but very difficult to clean. There are a few cleaning steps listed on the packaging, but I'd say they're more disposable than anything else.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Security

I've never used styrofoam.

I bought a 6 inch random orbital polisher and polishing pads from the Griot shop because polishing pads were also available locally if I needed extra. It's been a long time since I've buffed and polished a car and I've been worried. about the twists you can sometimes get with old fenders and terrycloth covers, but I've watched LOTS of videos online so I'm comfortable with today's foam pads.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great product but a lot of crap!

Consumes a lot of product as the title suggests. This in turn increases the runtime of the application and makes cleaning almost impossible. I tried scrubbing all the remaining sealant out of the foam but that wasn't enough and some of it dried into the foam. It's right on the affordability spectrum where buying a new one for every app isn't such a bad thing. So if you can afford it, I recommend going down this route. Otherwise, try to find something that the reviews say doesn't absorb too…

  • Great price

Great little wax pad

Have used the full size griot pads a few times on my other cars. I bought a used Corvette that has many sharp corners and few large flat surfaces. 3" shim which worked wonders in tight spots. So happy with the results. Note I had to reduce the buffer speed as this pad tends to distort more than full size. No problem, just needs adjusting. Due to the smaller size and less wax build up compared to the full size ones, we'll see how well they hold up.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Frequency

Fantastic wax pad - goes perfectly with my black Trailblazer SS

The quality Griots Garage product that you all know and love. Bought this pad to fit my orbital wax. His opponent is a 2006 BLACK Trailblazer SS. I ride it in Wisconsin every day, year-round, so it sees ALL weather conditions. I maintain my car's paintwork with hand wash, clay, impregnation and stay away from brushes or automatic car washes. Wash, polish, polish, wash, polish, wax. Anyway, I'll just let the picture speak for you.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Zero

Good tip: I soak the pad in the mixture.

I have been using Griot products for many years and these wax pads do exactly what they are supposed to do. This replaces an old waxed griot seal that took almost 2 years which I have used many times to wax our 2 full size SUVs along with a few other cars that belonged to my parents and brother. Good tip: I soak the pad in a mixture of Dawn liquid soap and water for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing well. This will help remove most of the wax that has built up on the pad and keep the pad nice…

  • Very good price

Great pillow! in buffing and buffing pads

great pad! It soaks up the product but otherwise sticks together, spreading the wax and polish evenly. Here's my scale from 1 to 10, 10 is cool, 1 is something you can't use or buy: (Can the pad be used for more than one application): 10 Absorption (how much product the pad absorbs): 7 Distribution (how well the pad distributes the product): 10 Abrasivity (can it be used for heavy cutting): 1 **This pad is soft, you can use it for light curls or very light scratches*** In general, the pad is…

It would be ideal if you could use a waxed pad more than.

It would be ideal if you could use a waxed pad more than once. I use Zaino wax. I hand washed it in warm water, let it dry and waxed the car again a few months later. I started the depilation as before, and suddenly the pad came off in the middle of the depilation. I shut down the orbital as soon as possible and kept it away from the paint. Luckily I don't see any scratches. I immediately realized that the loop/hook was still on the orbital plate and the red pad was on the ground a few feet…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
