Cheap quality! The shafts break 1/2 under the head

It takes as much trouble as turning a screw and the shaft breaks. This has happened time and time again with these screws. Also with drilling before screwing. Where is the quality control of these overpriced products?

The torx head is much better than the square one.

They worked very well in composite and PT decking. None came out, and the ones I had to remove came out easily. They are excellent for most applications. If you're using a tool like me to "hide" fasteners on the edge of a deck, I recommend buying longer, narrower #15 Torx bits than the ones that come with these screws: screws are easier to install and fewer likely to break. adjacent board. I was considering hidden fasteners for our new Tigerwood grater but was concerned about its overall strength and durability. The company I purchased from Tigerwood had also issues with the ability of the hidden fasteners to prevent warping so I went back to the more traditional surface screws but with an end head.I traditionally use #10 with standard heads (nice, like hidden fasteners).
