Description of Grip Security

Grip brings the industry’s most comprehensive visibility across all enterprise SaaS applications--known or unknown for apps, users, and their basic interactions with extreme accuracy to minimize false positives. Armed with deep visibility, Grip secures all SaaS application access regardless of device or location as well as mapping data flows to enforce security policies and prevent data loss across the entire SaaS portfolio. Finally, Grip complements any CASB deployment. With nominal resourcing, incremental deployment and no performance degradation, deploying Grip will complement your forward or reverse proxy SaaS solutions. Grip fills the hole left by today’s CASBs by providing comprehensive visibility, governance and data loss prevention to help enterprises painlessly secure a burgeoning and chaotic SaaS ecosystem. Grip secures SaaS from the edge with an endpoint-centric approach. The Grip client brings an endpoint-centric approach that gives enterprises an unprecedented SaaS security layer while remaining SaaS agnostic. Like VPN which is the only method to access networks remotely, Grip’s endpoint-centric approach becomes the only way to access your SaaS.

Monitor and Manage all of your cloud accounts

The ability that they monitor our products is key in providing us an early warning system when things go wrong/offline; this allows me enough time get my IT team aware before clients are impacted negatively by downtime caused during planned maintenance windows (which can be quite long). They have not been able at times to identify issues which has resulted either into them being unable tp correct it themselves OR needing support from third party providers - both costly options! Their customer…

Pros
  • Easy interface, fast response.
  • Ease for customers / partners alike with configuring their own security monitors using SFDC or any 3rd Party tool such as ForceIQ
Cons
  • Some cons

Great tool for managing user access

The ability to have granular control over what is allowed in our app helps us keep track of who has permission to do what within our organization. There are some areas where we haven't been able to implement yet but it's great that they're working towards making this available down the line! We've used other software like Okta which doesn't give you quite so much flexibility about permissions levels when creating new accounts/users etc - if someone leaves then you need to revoke them from…

Pros
  • The ability to set permissions at the account level with granular control over what they can do with the account
Cons
  • There's still a few areas that we haven't figured out the best way to implement yet, but it's great that they have been working on it and are continuing to make it more and more robust

Very handy for logging and exception analysis

The ability to easily map out how our logins work in an external facing web app is great! It's also nice that we can see exactly what logs are being sent from different areas/apps within our system-which helps identify potential issues quickly if something doesn't look right (or like it should). I wish there was more detail available when looking at certain events though - sometimes you just want general info about why things happened rather than having to jump through hoops trying find…

Pros
  • Ease for mapping login flow between apps, ease with filtering data by type or source IP address as well
