Diagnosing my rear brake fault (brake fluid boiled crossing Death Valley @ 128F) and resetting the service interval when I was servicing myself. Can't ask for more.

The price bites, but it's a BMW. I have a 2014 GTL Exclusive and do most of the work myself. So far I've cleared service reminder codes.

I needed to troubleshoot a fuel delivery issue, balance the throttle bodies and adjust the throttle position sensor. This device was invaluable. Being able to write real-time data into a spreadsheet and analyze the data (on your computer) was very helpful. I could really understand what was going on.

There should be a way to restart the computer after the service without having to go to the dealer or buy a similar tool, but unfortunately there isn't. The GS911 works great - just connects via USB or wirelessly. Downloads a diagnostic report and allows code resets.

I have a 2019 R1250 GS and it was very easy to set up and run code scanning. However, I actually bought it to be able to clear service messages so I could run my own engine and change the oil. It worked like clockwork and, as the instructions say, "really foolproof". Now I don't have to pay outrageous merchant fees!

Judging by some of the reviews, I had expected problems with registration and setup, but I was happy when everything went quickly and without any problems. I downloaded it to my Windows 10 desktop and then to my iPhone. I used the iPhone to reset the service reminder and run diagnostics on my 2014R1200RT. A little short story. I bought a new 2019 BMW R 1250 GS Adventure.
