Perfect for my needs

The product was exactly what I expected. For those unfamiliar with this, this is a very thin sheet of fiberboard. So if you're looking for something more durable, you may need to look at other products. I have a project where I need 1/16 inch fiberboards but I just couldn't find them. After searching, I found these which, as listed on the manufacturer's website, were 1/32 inch thick. So I decided to try gluing/laminating the two sheets together. Interesting but I'm not entirely happy with it

I bought these because for 1919 painting methods I thought I'd give them a try. It's actually not even close to what they used, but I thought it would be fun nonetheless. The Impressionists used a type of thin cardboard called millboard for illustration, which was soaked in oil before use. It was an interesting surface to work with, a bit of a rough texture, they really absorbed the oil into the paint so I had to work really hard to get the results I wanted with the paint. Nice finish, great color that's fading a bit

I usually paint on it with open acrylic paints. They take color very well. The surface is somewhat absorbent, so the paint dries quickly and has a slightly matt finish. They can take some abuse; I even dropped one on a corner and it didn't crack, although I was probably lucky. Brown is pretty good for some subjects and it really helps with the color. He tries to unify the picture. For me it works best when there is some blue or green in the subject to balance out the brown, so landscapes work…
