Poorly made and doesn't last.

Very disappointed with this product. The well nuts came loose and the entire anchor duck fell into the lake. I NOW have two large holes in the side of my kayak!

Well for me the best in kayaking. Fitment

Works fine on my hobi. That's what it says and works great for my purposes. You shouldn't strain too much if you're just using the walnuts provided; I also used Marine Goop when installing mine.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Works great, I use it with a Hobie anchor trolley.

Works great, I use it with the Hobie anchor carriage system. At high tide this rod is the only piece holding the anchor car line in place.

  • Nice to use

Excellent device for tying an anchor.

Works very well as an anchor point for my kayak's anchor line. No knots are required to keep the leash in place. Attaches perfectly to the side of my fishing kayak. Quick and easy to tie and put on!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Hard to say

Stable mount for a new kayak.

Great new kayak, didn't want to drill holes but the nuts provided were made for a secure fit. I have no problem with nuts because I know they will hold and seal the holes.

Installed on a Pelican Catch 120

Installed with my anchor wagon, works great. It was a little more expensive than other zigzag spikes on the market, but they also came with all the stainless steel parts to install it, so it came in at about average price anyway. I will be buying another soon to put the cart on the other side!

Measure carefully for water sports

I'm changing my initial rating from 1 star to 3 stars, it would have been higher but we had to buy longer screws. The body of our kayak was thin enough to use the smaller bolts that came with this spike (see review below). Customer service was great with this company and they refunded our money but we had to buy their longer screws to get clarity for the hold so beware you may need to get additional seller/manufacturer instructions drill 2 holes with 10mm each, insert the dowels supplied by the
