Works as expected on network adapters

My new laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port. I had to use a wired ethernet connection instead of wifi and was happy to find a cheap solution that worked well.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very nice - works great!

Building a gaming pc for my son and need wifi. This little thing gives a good and stable signal even though the computer is quite far from the router. It has been working for about 6 months, no failures or other problems. I tested speeds around 80Mbps when the router was in 3 rooms on a different floor.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No instructions

He does what he has to do!

Works great! Just plug and play out of the box. I didn't use the CD that came with it because my Windows 8.1 Acer laptop doesn't have a floppy drive. The drivers were automatically installed when the USB was plugged in. Works well with Time Warner High Speed Cable Modem. I bought this product because my built-in Wi-Fi wasn't working with my new modem.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Only available in black

Does not work at the same speed as normal Ethernet.

I bought a new computer. Well, the problem with modern computers is that they're thinner than an ethernet port, so Wi-Fi is for the internet only. I was having trouble connecting my new computer to the office WiFi. So I bought this connector for USB. He worked at dialing speed. Literally watched screens load line after line.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Commercial availability

That works great! the best among usb network adapters

I bought this device after I installed windows 10 and lost connection to my usb wifi adapter. It said it was for Windows Vista (SP1,SP2) 7,8,8.1,10. When the package arrived today I opened it only to find installation instructions for Windows Vista, 7 and 8 only. I was very worried it wouldn't work. I booted my system, followed the instructions and installed the adapter. That works great! Very happy at this moment. Works great.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • some little things

Pretty good once I figured it out

Decent wireless USB. The installation went through trial and error. My computer has Windows 8.1 installed and I was finally able to get it working using the installation disc. Note: After a few unsuccessful attempts to install, I called the support number listed on the box. I called during standard west coast business hours and got a recording to leave a voice message or email. I didn't either and just passed out. I don't know how long I had to wait for someone from HiRO to contact me.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Took almost 2 years

I purchased this product in September 2010 and it recently fell apart (my fault. I took it apart, really - long story). I used it for two years until AT&T recommended we use their USB adapter (D-Link) which died in August last year (after extreme and hard use). I used this bad boy (I'm cool) as a reminder of the year and ended up accidentally taking it apart thinking the adapter was defective, but it was my USB stick that couldn't read it (ha I guess , it wasn't such a long story in Finally)…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing
