Easy to learn and fun to play.

If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. The perfect combination of puzzle and game. My 8 year old picked it up quickly and had fun with it. Even my mother liked it and bought a copy. The details are wonderful and well done. Gold and crystals are a nice touch instead of cardboard. It doesn't take long and most of the time everyone wants to play another round right after. Please note: we did not play with the expedition leader. There is a fan made website that randomly selects tiles for you so

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

Simple mechanics, but a total blast.

Very fun, fast and accurate game with a small set. Easy to learn, but maybe not very deep, especially when you find yourself locked out of one of its temples because you've lost sight of all your goals, lol. Children and adults will love this fun game. One of the best parts about this game is that whether you play with 2, 3 or 4 players, the game takes about the same amount of time. Your first few games from opening the box to closing it may take 40-45 minutes as you will be learning/teaching…

Fun and unique party solitaire game

This is an easy to moderate group solitaire game (interaction with other players is only indirect) that basically gives each player an evolving puzzle to play on their own must solve. own board and compares the results with other players at the end of the game. The rules aren't as simple as in many beginner's games, but they're not as difficult to master after one game. There's a decent mix of luck and strategy here, as well as the satisfaction of finding a solution that gets all your explorers

  • Satisfied so far

Great game and great customer service from Haba

The game is quite fast paced and will appeal to both the elderly and children. It's interesting to decide whether to use parts for your map or move your explorers. If you want to play the game with younger kids than recommended, you can simplify the game a bit by reducing it to two explorers and two tokens. I think you can also buy another game box and play with more than 4, since the game comes all at once and not one at a time, this won't slow down the gameplay (although you might need some…

Great game in Games & Accessories

Bought after playing at a game night in the parks department. We have a very logical 6 year old who loves games and has learned katana, chess and cadavers. This game, although random, really makes you think about how to place randomly drawn tiles to get to the temple/treasure first. The rules are very simple and the game only lasts about 20 minutes. With 3 players, it's interesting to see that we can start placing the first 3 tiles in the same place, but after that everything was very…

  • Great price

  • Not the best

A fun little puzzle game with good components and zero interaction.

Karuba is a good puzzle. It bills itself as a multiplayer game, and I hesitate to say it's a great example of that simply because it has no player interaction. It's almost like bingo, in that the player leading the round announces which tile everyone should place, and then everyone places it (or discards it to move the explorer). That can be good, sometimes you need a very passive background experience. But I think the aspect of four people playing solitaire keeps it from reaching the five star

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • There are flaws

Addictive and fun! - Tile Games

Oh my god this game has me and my husband hooked and we can't let go. The product description says it's addictive, and it really is. We're in our 60's and were looking for something new, fun and different from our usual Parchesi, Sorry, Scrabble and Rummy Challenge games. We got this in hopes that it would provide challenges, new ways of thinking, fun, short play times, and be a game that isn't inherently random (like many decks of cards) but instead requires advance planning, spatial…
