Worked great. in Parts & Accessories

I love my Hakko soldering iron. These tips worked great for him. All my expectations were justified. I solder and repair SMT parts. My Hakko is a workhorse, I will continue to buy these nozzles.

Pros
  • Build Quality
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Industrial Grade Soldering Iron Tip

The Hakko T18 soldering iron tip was my final step in renovating an old Hakko 700 soldering station. The tip is used and shows the difference between industrial quality parts and less expensive parts. This tip heats up quickly and hasn't shown any damage after a few uses.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • No power

Only advice on spare parts and accessories

.what you were looking for! This beveled tip is great for getting heat where you need it and good enough to handle larger surface mount surfaces. The tip that comes with the Hakko 888 is good for larger items, but I find it more useful for what I'm doing. This is a great item to have in your arsenal for small to medium projects.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not everything fits

While this is good advice, your waiter probably won't appreciate it.

This Hakko Series T-18 tip is great. The bevel has an ideal angle to get into hard-to-reach places. Being a T-18 series tip, in addition to the FX-888/801 soldering stations, it is also compatible with the 907 grips that come with the legacy 926, 936 and 936 ESD stations. If you solder a lot and have a Hakko station, you need it!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

The best tip for electronics

I mainly deal with small electronic components. This is the third tip I've tried and by far the best. Sharp ends are a waste of time. They just don't have enough thermal surface area to ensure continuous heat transfer. These corner tips are the way to go. You still get precision, but with the added thermal mass you can easily plot on the thinnest of components. In any case, I am very satisfied with the tips.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
