Waste of Money - Blender

Hamaliton Beach should be ashamed of taking such an iconic product and turning it into a cheap piece of junk. . The motor gets hot, the mixing shaft falls out and it looks like it's falling apart, very disappointed with this product, I will be returning it

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Great return! The Best in Kitchen and Dining

When I was growing up, my parents had a Hamilton drink blender that we kids loved making milkshakes with. This is a great little version, although not as classic as the original! The size is much smaller than when we were kids, but you can make a full drink/cocktail out of it. The plastic parts hold up well!

metal cup too short

I used an old Donviere model of 20 years without any problems which finally gave up after so long service. It had a standard 7 inch cup. I tried this cheap Hamilton Beach as a replacement. The cup is 3/4 inch shorter in height. This allows the liquid to squirt from above at high speed and create a mess. This is unacceptable. If the more expensive version (around $100) has a regular sized cup, we might try it. I am sending this back.

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Scratches, dents and discoloration

I have not had a chance to use this product as it has just arrived and straight out of the box, the item had scratches and discoloration that will not wash off. how the color of the rubber band that held the plastic wrappers and study materials in place somehow transferred its color to the white plastic. This item was marked as new and appeared to be packaged as new, but the condition was not up to standard. It was disappointing.

I love this little car! Perfect for me and my husband.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Simple, classic, PERFECT for hard ice cream, coffee, milk, chocolate syrup - Love Mocha Frappes! DO NOT use ice. Do not pour over the top line or the milk will overflow when switched on. Prepare a full 16 degree glass. I love the metal mug that comes with it. My blender was heavy, I had to clean a few parts - I had to take everything apart. It"click"! Simply pull out a metal whisk, tilt the top of the machine and remove the metal cup. I hand wash - dry and put them back in the…

I love that thing about stand mixers

I had one of those years ago and it was loud and maybe a bit unbalanced. I've decided to stick with a brand I trust. This machine is a lot quieter than its grandfather and seems solid and well built for a plastic milkshake maker. It does what it's supposed to and very well. Obviously it's not a blender and it doesn't break ice cubes, but it's great for blending milk or protein shakes, or even chocolate milk. Even in thick, hard ice, it came through quickly and didn't snag or make me think he…

This is a good little blender when used properly and it was huge.

This is my second. My first failed. The motor is not as powerful as a commercial blender. It's not a blender. This is a good little blender when used properly and was a hit at our malt party back in the 50's. Now for the right application. Don't overfill your cup. A few scoops of ice cream. If not, cut your fruit. Don't wait either. After adding the ice cream and syrup-malt mixture, fill the ice cream to the brim or almost to the brim (not the cup) with milk. This ensures easy mixing and does…

Like Old Faithful best in small appliances

Bought for my mom she is 73 and doesn't use the internet. She would say something like "can you order me some" and start describing my childhood milkshake machine because the one she had at home was about to die and wouldn't mix her any more night malt. She didn't have to go too far into the sentence before I realized she was referring to this Hamilton Beach Mixer. She has been very adamant that I never buy anything with "junk plastic", be one with a "bullet" and only buy "good stuff with a…

Milkshake Mixer Easy Clean Up, Enjoy! Don't expect it to be a blender

I've never had the luxury of working in a milkshake factory and I've always wondered how a small stick can actually blend. I bought this for my protein shakes and milkshakes for a chemo patient. I got very tired of cleaning the blender and all of its parts multiple times a day (sometimes not even thoroughly enough) after each use, and this "bludgeon" operation seemed like a refreshing relief. IT WAS! That already saves me the hassle of mixing and swapping all the o-rings and trying to clean…
