Used on 20 gallon cooler in Texas I like the 1/13 horsepower cooler, it's very quiet but can generate some heat. a week to remove unwanted heat by also using the cooler as a filter with extra suction from my auxiliary fan. However, my cooler is set to 65, keeping the water ice cold and virtually pathogen free, which turns on 3 times in 1 hour. Fight the 90-100F summer like a champ.

The unit is great, it works perfectly and keeps the water temperature I need to keep my fish from boiling in this warm weather. I can only say that it was a bit disappointing that the device was not packed sufficiently protectively. My device had a small piece broken off at the bottom, but that's not a problem, it doesn't affect the functionality of the device, that's the most important thing. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cooler to keep the water temperature below 70 degrees.

The device is a bit big, but it does exactly what it is supposed to! My tank sits at the perfect 64°. I have my tank in my room and it gets a bit noisy when the cooler turns on, but it's definitely a noise to get used to and I had no trouble falling asleep with it on. There is no pump included!
