🐴 Hamilton Durable Nylon Equestrian Longe Line with Detachable Snap Chain Review

This is a replacement for the brown model I ordered a year ago. Much thinner, inferior material for the same price. Rip off.

The chain looks solid and I like the loop at the end. TIP: I would NOT put my wrist through the loop to keep the horse from running away! Easy to put back in hands when longs are shortened.

The long rope arrived quickly as I expected from the photo with the only exception being a brass chain instead of chrome. However, I don't care about that difference. Anyway, it's better with holsters.

I love that this brand comes in so many colors! This brown leash goes well with my horse's bandages, saddle pads and other accessories :) Exactly what you'd expect from a nylon leash but really good quality.

Good quality. The line is soft, strong and the color means I don't lose it easily. The only complaint I have is that the chain is already starting to rust (I've only had it a month). I live in Hawaii so rust is a common problem. I expect to have to replace the chain within 12 months.

Very good quality and price. I bought my last set about 20-25 years ago and when I ordered these I expected the quality to deteriorate as many products have become junk in America. The only difference I noticed (and I could be wrong for not measuring) is that the strap isn't as wide as on my older models. Still, a worthy cause.

This is the second one I've bought. I use them to train Great Pyrenees puppies. Me and the pups put a lot of weight on the leash and it's holding up well. I see where this works great as a lunge, but haven't used it on horses yet. The only thing that would make it perfect is real brass hardware. The chain and latch are still strong but the brass color has faded. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more.
