Didn't even last a year.

(updated 2015-08-02) Reminds that the Arkon phone mount has a lifetime warranty. In fact, Arkon contacted me and offered a warranty replacement. So I'm changing my rating to 4 stars (out of 2) as the customer service is top notch if you don't get something right. -------- Mine didn't even last a year. At first it was great to hold the phone securely with the side mount and mini cable. But the front half/rear half are split on one of my mt (just glued). Riding a bike and my phone landed hard on…

Cheap enough to buy a bunch! Replace parts as necessary.

I had three. The first was on my bike when it was tipped over. One of the small wings holding the phone in place hit the ground during the fall and immediately broke off, rendering the mount unusable. Uh, I'll buy more. No complaints, it's not the product. One fine day, the second one from the top broke off in a traffic jam. Here the plastic rod was connected to the top. My phone got caught in oncoming traffic and I was lucky that one of the drivers pulled over to pick me up. Now I'm waiting…

I don't know what everyone is complaining about, I like it.

It might not withstand a lot of impact but on my BMW F650 this thing is great! I have used it with my Galaxy S4 which has a solid Otterbox body and it holds it well and tightly. I really like the bungee, in addition to the grippy vise, I have no doubt my phone will stay in place no matter what. the curves of the large bar) blocked many mounting options, with a little fiddling I was able to insert the upper screw, then the lower one so that it sits dead center behind the windshield. Product…

Not bad for a softtail. Not so much for Diana.

I bought two of these for my Harley Sportster. Worked well and when I upgraded my bike to a Harley Softail Deluxe I also switched it to both but no problem when I traded the Deluxe for a Heritage I traded it for the radio included in the article was so I bought another radio and also this item to hold the radio. Again, no problem, but when I traded the Heritage in for a Harley Switchback I moved the radio and this item back to the new bike. Long story short, the vibration of the Dyna's rigid…

Great motorcycle phone mount

1 year review: As this unit has rubber bands I knew it would be strong enough to be used on a motorcycle. I ride all year round regardless of the weather. Okay, maybe not snow/ice, but rain doesn't bother me at all. I ride a bike so I've ridden about 10,000 miles since adding this mount. The rubber band still works great and I'm not worried about this product becoming obsolete and unreliable. I use it in landscape mode, and the only time I had an issue was when I accidentally tugged on the…

Good, sticks out very far

The good news is that it holds up very well. The description doesn't really say how it works. The bat wings detach and pop out with a push of a button on the left side, you put your phone in and clamp them and they snap and the foam lining holds up really well. The rubber band is an additional insurance. In addition, the two legs can be adjusted narrower or wider at the bottom. I don't understand how one of the most popular reviews says the phone came off on the first hit. I didn't expect how…

Flying Bike Phone Holder: Great for demos but not so good for your bike

I purchased this product for my 1982 Honda Magna on May 29th 2014 and have been happy with it for almost two years. However, just before the warranty expired, the mount failed as I was driving at 70mph on the interstate and ripped off the base, ripping off my helmet and disappearing behind me. Luckily, although it scared me, I was able to maintain control of the bike and luckily my iphone 6 was in a belt holster at the time. It worked for a long time until it failed and failed catastrophically…

This mobile phone holder from Arkon WORKS!

This mobile phone holder from Arkon WORKS! I have fitted an Arkon cell phone mount to the handlebars of three of my bikes over the years and have found just how reliable this device really is. Last year, to my chagrin, I had to reset my vtx1800 when entering a corner at about 35 mph. During this maneuver, the motorcycle actually rolled over once when it slid into a ditch. After it was all over, I found that my Galaxy s7 was still safe and sound in its cradle. Luckily everything else was "okay"…

Impressed with holding power and stability

Looked a bit cheap but fit the handlebars on my big V-Twin bike just right. It has small rubber pads, so it is suitable for different handlebar sizes. I was skeptical about this as my rods are significantly smaller in diameter than the mounting clips. Anyway, bolted it on and drove 380 miles with no adjustments and the bracket held and didn't move. I see that the plastic handle can crack in cold weather, especially if you pick it up and try to move it, so time will tell. The mount is at a good…
