Very strong! My only problem was getting the thick rope through the holes. I ended up burning the ends a bit to keep the rope from separating. The rest is very easy to assemble.

Our order was missing hardware and judging by some of the other reviews this is a common issue with this product. The shelves themselves are fine, it would just be nice not to have to rummage through my random screw drawer for something that fits and is reasonably adequate.

No instructions. The pre-filled holes will not line up without applying pressure to install the screws. The wall anchors were a joke. I managed to pull myself together, but it wasn't easy. I like the way the finished product looks BUT it took a lot of effort and was disappointing.

Shelves look nice but aren't very practical when you need to hang something heavy. I'm looking for another way to hold them together to make them more durable. The picture I've attached shows how more weight causes the actual board to sag. Still beautiful and I'll use them if I can make them a little tougher.

Yes you get what you pay for but I fully expected them to be what they are. Lightweight, cheap shelves for storing small and light items. There really weren't any holes for mounting the metal part, but the wood is so soft it was easy to drive them in with a screwdriver. Overall, they turned out very nice and serve as a small decoration in my guest bathroom. Just don't expect heavy shelving when you're paying so little and you'll be fine!

I bought these knowing they needed to be painted silver to match my room. Unfortunately I didn't check the packaging before painting the black parts silver. It was noted that there were no screws, wall plugs or towel rails. I did not purchase an "like new" or "used" product. It was brand new and the packaging didn't look like it had been opened. My fault for not checking first. It's frustrating to have to spend an extra $6 and visit two stores due to shortages.

While the overall concept is great and very cute, the rope straps aren't very good. I couldn't get the straps through the holes. The fabric of the straps twists like old shoelaces. The ends weren't burned enough to keep them from unraveling. The hook was also missing, which wasn't a big deal, but just FYI. TO UPDATE. The shelves are completely raw, unfinished and unfinished so be careful. I had sandpaper and still wanted to paint it, so keep that in mind. "rope" is not two long ropes that you can cut like I thought. They are actually 3 sets of pre-cut and measured "ropes" that are burn sealed at each end. Which was quite ugly and disappointing because it doesn't really give you much choice in terms of length or if you want to do something like a ladder rack with it. It's not even real rope. I got these to free up desk space in my home office by moving things I need off my desk onto shelves and away from me. And that's why they did their job. But. The tree dried up and not a single solid board. Obviously it was glued together from three or so 1X2's and then planed. This made it thinner than a 1X2 would have been (about 1/8 inch compared to a standard 1X2). It was also dried for too long.
