I found this caliper in one of the sales. That's a good caliper. I wouldn't call it class leadership, but it works pretty well. Accuracy seems good for what I'm doing with it, but if you need more then you won't buy something like this again. Seems fine for those of us who don't need $200 ultra-precision calipers. As I really liked one I bought this as a replacement and was not disappointed. Works very well and accurately. The metal finish was good and showed some attention to detail. When ordering, I didn't pay attention to the reading function, since my original also specifies fractional inches, which I rarely use.
